Salmon

A line of feed formulations characterized by high protein, high fat, and high digestible energy, with minor variations for different Salmon species and life stages. Designed for fast growth, and efficient feed conversion, with pigment additives to support vibrant coloration for sporting applications. The juvenile diet variants are specifically formulated to have a higher proportion of insect meal, delivering more proteins and fats in a readily bioavailable form for enhanced uptake by larvae and juveniles, helping to bolster feeding success, early-stage growth rates, and survival rates. Crumbles and larval feeds alike contain a measured fine and gross fraction to accommodate gape-size variations. Conservation applications are facilitated as a result of the high proportion of insect meal used instead of fishmeal. Feeding fishmeal to fish destined for stocking programs can lead to deleterious selection events, favoring juveniles that excel on an artificial diet, instead of those that favor a natural diet. Pisces Atlantic’s Salmon draw heavily on insect protein, a much closer match for the ecology of juvenile Salmon.
